Postpartum Birth Control Education October 28, 2024 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ET Remote / Virtual Navigating birth control postpartum can be tricky, especially if you’re breastfeeding or bodyfeeding or not sure if you want to have another pregnancy. This workshop will cover all the options available to you, and debunk some myths so you can move forward confident in your postpartum plan. This workshop is great for postpartum parents, pregnant people planning for postpartum, or anyone interested in learning more about birth control. This workshop is for adults 18+. A Parent’s Guide to Coming Out: “Mom, I think I’m…” Education November 14, 2024 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET Remote / Virtual For queer youth and their parents/families, ‘Coming out’ can be a rewarding and daunting experience and often marks a family transition. As caregivers, we can advocate for our youth by building trust and practicing communication as ‘askable adults’. In this workshop, we will talk about gender, sexuality, how to navigate queer inclusion in parent-child communication, and explore resources for parents/caregivers of queer youth.

Creating Inclusive Spaces Education November 19, 2024 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET Remote / Virtual LGBTQIA+ youth face an increasingly hostile political climate that often trickles into spaces that should be safe. With the mounting body of evidence showing a decline in youth mental health, it’s important for youth-serving professionals to learn how to create inclusive, safe environments. In this workshop, we will talk about gender, and sexuality, and identify evidence-informed strategies to include LGBTQIA+ youth communities in our work. This is a professional development opportunity and will include interactive discussions and activities. Upon request, participants who complete the workshop will receive a certificate of completion. Content note: This workshop contains discussions of difficult topics, including but not limited to self harm an suicidal ideation. We encourage participants to take care when attending this workshop.

All about STIs Education November 22, 2024 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ET Remote / Virtual Over 50% of Americans will experience a sexually transmitted disease or infection at some point in their lives, but many people aren't comfortable talking about it. Come learn about STDs from a Planned Parenthood educator in a stigma- and shame-free environment. We'll cover all the basics like prevention, testing and treatment, talk about what life is like when you’re living with an STD, and discuss how to talk about it with a partner. The Anatomy of Pleasure Education December 2, 2024 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ET Remote / Virtual Did you fail sex ed, or did sex ed fail you? You might know the basics of reproductive anatomy, but you’ve likely never learned about the anatomy of pleasure. Come spend an evening talking about body parts, orgasms, and the role of hormones and leave with a better understanding of how bodies function, strategies for communicating with a partner, and more.This workshop is for adults 18+.
